Perform Accurate Field Recalibration

This kit allows you to perform dozens of humidity sensor recalibrations in the field, helping ensure your Kestrel continues to operate within factory specifications. When distilled water is used as directed, the kit can be used for an unlimited number of calibrations.

The included instruction manual provides detailed, step-by-step guidance through the entire calibration process. Plan on approximately two days to complete the procedure, as adequate stabilization time is required for the most accurate results.

Updated Calibration Procedure

For best performance, Kestrel has updated the recommended calibration process:

1. Prepare the calibration salt solutions according to the instructions.
2. Place the Kestrel in the first calibration container and allow it to stabilize for 24 hours before running the first calibration routine.
3. After completing the first calibration, move the Kestrel to the second calibration container and allow it to stabilize for an additional 24 hours.
4. Run the second calibration routine to complete the process.

Allowing the meter to stabilize for the full 24-hour periods ensures the proper humidity environment is achieved, resulting in significantly improved calibration accuracy. Based on testing, it is recommended to calibrate only one Kestrel meter at a time.
