Instruments which measure Altitude (pressure based)

Altitude can be determined based on the measurement of atmospheric pressure. The greater the altitude, the lower the pressure. Kestrels which measure altitude use pressure to determine altitude. To use the pressure based altitude reading, you will need to know either your starting reference altitude or the barometric pressure at your location.
