The Kestrel 5100 measures moisture content in grains, air density, relative air density, humidity and other critical factors. The compact, portable design makes this unit easy to take right to the track – exactly where you need to get the most accurate and race-relevant measurements. Pair it with the optional Kestrel Vane Mount for hands-free measurements logged over the course of the day. For maximum functionality, choose a Kestrel 5100 with LiNK to transmit live measurements to the Kestrel LiNK app on your iOS or Android device up to 100’ away (line of sight).

      I have to learn more on using this for a tool. I do think it will help on getting car to run in different weather settings. Probably should have paid extra for option letting me download and save info. Can it be added to my version?

      Hi, The standard (non-LiNk) models can download data to a PC or a Mac only with the Kestrel USB Data Transfer Cable which can be found in our Kestrel Accessories section. If you want the LiNK model, we can send you a pre-paid return label for the meter you have. You can purchase the LiNK version anytime. The LiNK model can transfer data via Bluetooth to a smartphone along with the Kestrel App. The LiNK model can use the Kestrel Data Transfer Cable as well. If you have any other questions please ask!

      Great unit I am sure but no supporting software
      I was very excited to get this. That was until I found There was no software to use with it. Including Crew Chief Pro, "Who say they do not have any time for this project" Being the replacement for the 4250 I was let down to to find would not work with any thing the 4250 did. I have searched this site on and off this week and neither or Kestrel have any usable software. They do not even have any information on how to use the download software, I could easily give more stars if the racing meter could be used for racing
