A Kestrel DROP is an easy-to-use, rugged environmental data logger, trusted by professionals around the world.
Monitor and record the conditions of any environment and easily access and chart real-time and historical data on your phone or tablet. A Kestrel DROP D1 logger can be placed wherever needed to log temperature with the data logs retrieved wirelessly and automatically to the Kestrel Connect app when within range(up to 100ft.). Kestrel DROP data loggers are designed to be used anywhere you need to track environmental conditions. DROP loggers meet military and international standards for water, dust and shock resistance (IP-67-30 minute submersion at 1m and MIL-STD-810G drop tested) and are equipped with a sturdy D-ring for hanging wherever needed.

Kestrel LiNK is the free app that powers the DROP loggers. With Kestrel Connect, you can view real-time readings from any DROP logger within wireless range (100’ or more line of sight) via Bluetooth® low energy Each phone or tablet can connect to up to 8 DROP loggers at the same time and store data logs from many more. Min/Max/Average readings are clearly displayed and the log is viewable as a scrolling graph with detailed data for each logged point. The app also allows adjustment of the logging interval and other settings as well as real-time threshold alerts. Readings can be updated as frequently as every 2 seconds and logging time and date are automatically updated whenever connected to your smart device. Send and share real-time and logged environmental data via email, Facebook or Twitter.

Bluetooth temperature data logger praised for ease of use and accurate monitoring during camping, hiking, and remote temperature tracking. Customers said it "works exactly as promised" with easy data downloads. However, some noted Bluetooth range limitations, with difficulty connecting through walls. Currently iOS-only compatibility.

I am on a federal team for disasters and I have one of your weather stations. It's great. My wife shows dogs so made this purchase so we could keep watch on temperatures on the in side of the van. I am disappointed in the lack of range. Can't even get a reading from my garage (attached) from our kitchen .
Range is a little weak.....
Easy to use, seems durable (at least after one month of outdoor use).
It certainly makes getting that remote temperature easier and more accurately determined.
Works exactly as promised
Great product. I first tested one in the refrigerator. To my surprise I was able to access the sensor through the closed metal door. There was plenty of signal through the refrig. gaskets. The data is very easy to DL and forward to my computer through email. I keep one sensor in a cooler in my car. It slides and rattles around as I drive. So far the sensor works flawlessly. Recommended.

Great! Works as promised. Only drawback is that it only works with IOS.
what's the temperature range
Hi, the temperature range is 14 to 131°F -10 to 55 °C.
I need a product that will stay in solution of 90% water and 10% alcohol, and will be used to measure the temperature curve of a product in tank trucks. Which product you have to offer with connection wireless or Bluetooth.
Chemical immersion is not advised for the DROPs, so I cannot guarantee they would work in that situation. The alcohol could have some damaging effects to the unit but this specific case has not been tested. For the other question, it uses Bluetooth.
