Kestrel 5200は、特殊計算機能を内蔵しており、コンクリート打設、HVACシステムのバランス調整、現場環境のモニタリングといった難しい作業から推測に頼る必要をなくします。
Kestrel 5200は、携帯型メーター市場では他に類を見ない高度な計算機能と測定値を提供し、作業をより簡単に進められるよう設計されています。現在の環境条件を測定するだけでなく、Kestrel 5200はタイムスタンプ付きのデータを10,000セット以上追跡・記録できます。データログは、LiNKワイヤレス通信オプションとKestrel LiNKアプリを使ってモバイルデバイスへワイヤレス転送できます。または、別売りのKestrel LiNKドングル、もしくは防水USBデータ転送ケーブルを使ってPC/MACへ転送することも可能です。
建設
Kestrel 5200には、米国コンクリート学会（American Concrete Institute）の蒸発速度ノモグラフが内蔵されており、計算や誤差の生じやすい補間を行わずに、蒸発速度を画面上で直接確認できます。この情報をもとに、混和剤の使用や養生方法の調整について判断でき、スラブに生じる高額なプラスチック収縮ひび割れを防止できます。さらにKestrel 5200では、ブームやクレーンにかかる風荷重を監視できるほか、作業現場の暑さ指数も追跡できるため、作業員の安全確保に役立ちます。
HVAC
これほど簡単に風量を測定できる製品はありません。ダクトの形状と寸法を入力し、Kestrel 5200をダクト内で移動させるだけです。面積計算や複雑な計算を行わなくても、瞬時風量と平均風量を確認できます。HVACシステムの試運転調整や性能バランス調整に大きく役立つ測定値を取得できます。バロメーターの代替品ではありませんが、Kestrel 5200ははるかに低価格で、時間と費用の節約に貢献します。また、空気中の水分量に関する一般的な測定値をすべて提供するため、除湿の必要性を簡単に判断できます。
LiNK（Bluetooth）
LiNK Bluetooth接続機能を搭載した5200では、適切なアプリ（下記参照）を使用し、通信範囲内にあるiOS（iPhone、iPad）デバイスまたはAndroidスマートフォン・タブレットへデータをワイヤレス転送できます。また、LiNKメーター搭載の5200では、別売りのKestrel Bluetooth USBドングルを使用して、WindowsまたはMacコンピューターへデータをワイヤレス転送できます。

What is the maximum air speed this unit can measure. I need to measure velocities >120mph
While the specification range with guaranteed accuracy is 89.5 MPH, the 5200 will measure wind speeds up to 134 MPH. Anything above that may lead to damage to the impeller.
What is the difference between Model 5000 and 5200
The Kestrel 5200 will give you the same readings as the Kestrel 5000 but also includes Delta T, Volume Air Flow and Evaporation Rate.
