USB-gegevensoverdrachtkabel maakt bedrade communicatie mogelijk tussen elk model in de Kestrel 5-serie en Windows/Mac-computers met een USB-poort. Gebruik de kabel en Kestrel LiNK-software om firmware-updates te installeren en gelogde gegevens van uw Kestrel te uploaden.

De communicatie tussen de kabel en Kestrel is optisch en compromitteert daarom de waterdichte afdichting van de Kestrel niet. Deze eenheid heeft geen externe stroombron nodig. Het heeft een kabel van drie voet en gegevensoverdrachtsnelheden tot 230 Kbps. Met een gewicht van slechts 2 ounce is deze kabel een perfecte reisgenoot.

Unfortunate that you have to spend an additional 50$ for a fancy USB cable. But it does work well and I can see the advantage of not having to open the battery case or having a usb port (keeps the unit water proof).

A must for data transfers between your computer and Kestrel or you can purchase the USB dongle; nothing extra is needed for data exchanges between your phone and Kestrel as long as you have the LINK model Kestrel and blue tooth on your phone activated.
