I like to have weather measurements/ notes to add a diary of place’s visited. The Kestrel 3000 had the features I wanted. Combined with Kestrel Basic Series Vane Kit, attached to a tripod, is an accurate, hands free way to measure wind speed and wind chill. Kestrel 3000 and Vane Kit are both great products from a great company.

Easy to use and works great.
Used once, lost it.
I used it for the first time, set it down, I think on my wood pile, did a few more chores, went back to see if I could get this huge gust and could not find it. I even unstacked a whole cord of wood to no avail. $150.00 shot to ****, but it seemed to work well the first and only time I used it. I think someone snatched it. My alley butts up to Jacobus Park, and there is a lot of foot traffic.

Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is I can't figure out how to program the relative humidity. It always says 100%, which I know isn't right.
