Dit veelzijdige apparaat is compatibel met Windows- en Mac-besturingssystemen en kan op elke USB-poort worden aangesloten. The Kestrel dongle worked very well with my laptop and Kestrel software. I bought the dongle not for storing data but so I could update the firmware in my 5500. I did the update and it went smoothly. But, I don’t think I needed it for that purpose as the phone app had an option for updating firmware if I understood it correctly.

What is the average distance this will receive a signal from a Kestrel DROP?

The Kestrel DROP signal is good for approximately 100 feet unobstructed. When you have walls, windows or other obstacles in it's path, it can cut down the signal strength substantially.
