Used the meter while Spring Gobbler hunting in Wyoming. It worked great !!
Helped me use the wind in my favor to sneak right up on (2) gobblers , resulting in killing the bigger of the 2.
Great product + price—delivered as promised!
Bought the 2500 because it has the most features that I wanted. Dealing with the folks at Extreme Meters was first rate! I will highly recommend them to all that are interested in Kestrel products.
3000 is perfect for wildfire needs. Carry it in my engine now and training my folks. Likely will buy a couple more for the crew and the other engines.
Glad your Kestrel is serving you well! Many of our customers are wildland firefighters. Thank you for your service!
Its perfect for what I do. It does exactly what its suppose to for. Would recommend.
very prompt, easy to communicate with, will use them again
I like to have weather measurements/ notes to add a diary of place’s visited. The Kestrel 3000 had the features I wanted. Combined with Kestrel Basic Series Vane Kit, attached to a tripod, is an accurate, hands free way to measure wind speed and wind chill. Kestrel 3000 and Vane Kit are both great products from a great company.
Looking forward to gathering weather information to add to our daily surf report!
Wind direction and speed play large part in the wave condition. Hoping that my husband will be able
to capture the most up to the minute and accurate readings with this new device.
Kestrel 3000
Easy to use and works great.
Used once, lost it.
I used it for the first time, set it down, I think on my wood pile, did a few more chores, went back to see if I could get this huge gust and could not find it. I even unstacked a whole cord of wood to no avail. $150.00 shot to ****, but it seemed to work well the first and only time I used it. I think someone snatched it. My alley butts up to Jacobus Park, and there is a lot of foot traffic.
Worked great
Worked great in several different enviroments.
Work as promised, looking forward to winter and cold conditions

Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is I can't figure out how to program the relative humidity. It always says 100%, which I know isn't right.
